European Union will offer funds in 2018 for Eastern countries, including Moldova, to combat Russian propaganda.
European Parliament's Committee on Budgets has approved to start providing funds from next year, to combat Russian propaganda from social networks and newspapers in Eastern countries, especially in Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia.
For this aim 1.1 million euro will be provide starting 2018, from which a special team will be formed from the European Commission and European Union delegations from eastern countries that will monitor the process of combating Russian propaganda and fake news that can be considered as such.
