European Union to provide 100 MILLION EUROS to Moldova as financial assistance

Moldova will initiate negotiations with the European Union on granting 100 million euros to our country as financial assistance. A draft decision on the matter will be discussed today, April 12th, at a government meeting.
Of this amount, 60 million euros will be in the form of loan and 40 million euros - as grant.
The loan disbursement will take place in three tranches starting with 2017 to 2018.
The term is up to 15 years.
The money will be used to overcome the economic shock from fraud in the banking system, to support macroeconomic stability and reforms our country.
The topic was discussed at the end of last year during the visit of Prime Minister Pavel Filip to Brussels.
