The exceptional show from Lisbon has already started. All 43 participants at the Eurovision Song Contest stepped in the admirers' applause on the red carpet - that was actually blue. The hosts welcomed everyone in a unique setting on the promenade in front of the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology.
The show was broadcast live on Portuguese television and on the festival's YouTube channel and people could better get to know the artists who will fight for the trophy.
For those who were surprised by the blue color of the carpet, the explanation is simple: this year's Eurovision edition is dedicated to the ocean. The participants were invited to the stage by four presenters.
The representatives of our country had an appearance that amused the presenters. One of them wanted to know what the source of inspiration was for Doredos.
"First of all, this wonderful country, Moldova, this fantastic trio ... It was an honor to meet them at the Novaia Valna contest that they won", said Filip Kirkorov, singer and composer.
The Romanian competitors, Humans band, thanked the Portuguese for their warm welcome.
The hosts wanted to know what is actually the name of the band in the neighboring country.
"We are all friends, in a word, it's about friendship", said Human soloist, Cristina Caramarcu.
Tomorrow the first semifinal of the Eurovision contest takes place tomorrow. Moldova competes in the second semifinal scheduled for Wednesday. On Thursday is scheduled for the final, which will qualify 26 of the 43 participating countries.
