Excellent news! Directors of educational institutions to earn higher wages
The salaries of the directors of kindergartens, schools and colleges will be increased by an average of 1000-1200 lei. The government has taken responsibility for introducing the necessary amendments to the State Budget Law this year.
According to the same document, the salaries of non-commissioned officers, as well as officers within the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), will be increased. Amendments will take effect from January 2019.
The modifications approved by the Government stipulate the increase of the minimum reference values for calculating the salaries of these categories of public servants.
"Changes have been introduced in the State Budget Law for 2019, where minimum benchmarks are set for salary calculations. Salaries for directors or managers of educational institutions target almost 4000 while increase for some manager will be around 1000 - 1200 lei", said Finance Minister Ion Chicu.
Salary raise for non-commissioned officers and officers will be between 500 and 800 lei.
In total, there are 9500 MIA employees.
"The necessity of these changes ensures new salary to be higher than it was until December 1st. I want to mention that they do not receive lower salary because they benefit from the planned difference" said Ion Chicu, Minister of Finance.
According to this project, five counselors from the National Dispute Settlement Agency will also receive higher wages. Changes were necessary because these people received lower salaries than their subordinates.
138 million lei will be allocated from the state budget for this project.
