Family of Moldovans is enslaved and forced to beg in Russia
The police investigate a man suspected of enslaving a disabled man and making him beg in Russia in 2003.
Several months later he took the disabled’s wife to Russia, as well as their two minor daughters.
He made them beg in Moscow till 2008, when the disabled man managed to run from him with a daughter.
Interrogated by prosecutors, the 43-year-old man did not confess his guilt.
Recently, the indicted was sentenced to 18 years in jail for trafficking children. He is to pay the enslaved family about $10,000.
