Far right parties split before local elections, losing chances by each forwarded candidate
Far right parties have split before the local elections from Chisinau and repeated the same mistake from the presidential elections in 2016, which allowed socialists to take the helm. Is the opinion of PDM president, Vlad Plahotniuc, who declared that parties proved that they do not wish to cooperate.
"Unfortunately our party's request was only met with impulsive declarations to the press, but what is more concerning is that by each party announcing their candidate, who not only lessen the chances of other candidates, but also the chances of at least reaching the second round" Vlad Plahotniuc said.
According to Vlad Plahotniuc, surveys clearly show that far right parties have only one chance to win the Chisinau City Hall. The arrogant attitude will once again ruin the chances of the far right parties, who do not wish to tamper down their pride and political frustration. To this moment, three parties have announced their candidates.
Liberals forwarded Valeriu Munteanu, while DA Platform - Andrei Năstase. From the socialists, Ion Ceban runs for mayor, while PLDM announced its wish to forward their own candidate.
