Fearing of being left behind, Andrei Nastase follows Maia Sandu wherever she goes. Today, Nastase got into the PM Sandu's meeting with the mayors, an event where the Internal Minister was not invited. One by another, the PPDA leader has so much functions that he messed them up.
Even though for almost two weeks he is vice-Mayor and the Minister of Internal Affairs, and for four months a MP, Andrei Nastase requested to give a speech where he introduced himself as the Mayor of the Capital.'I was in the neighbourhood and wanted to not miss the opportunity to see again the PM, Maia Sandu and you, of course, this state's Mayors', said the Minister of Internal Affairs, Andrei Nastase.
Finding themselves in an embarassing situation, before inviting him to the tribune, the event's organizators introduced him as the vice-PM. Nastase told them that he has another function.
'Here in the hall is also the vice-PM, Andrei Nastase, who requested to give a message too. Please, Andrei, come to the tribune'.
'I'm still a Mayor too, een if I did not got into the 20's local election', said Andrei Nastase.
The political scientist Dionis Cenusa explained why Andrei Nastase decided to take part at Maia Sandu's meeting. In the expert's opinion, there is a hidden competition between PAS and PPDA leaders.
Andrei Nastase tries to counterbalance the growing PM Maia Sandu's image. This fact was clear to see during the PM Maia Sandu's meeting with the local authorities, where he also took part, but he didn't belong to.
