Female assassin paid £300 a time to murder drug dealers in Philippines
A female assassin is being hired by the Philippines Government at a rate £330 a hit to murder drug dealers in the country's war on drugs, reports Daily Mail.
Maria - not her real name - has spoken about she has been taking out contract killings after being enlisted by her husband, a Manilla police officer, for President Rodrigo Duterte's battle against drugs.
She has revealed she has killed six people in the past two years as part of a hit team of three women - who are preferred as they do not attract suspicion like men.Â
Maria, originally from a poor neighborhood of Manilla, moved around constantly and would fear for her life if she tried to quit the assassin role.
About 2,000 people have been killed since he took office two months ago on a vow to crack down on drugs.
Ahead of the election, the President had promised to kill 100,000 criminals in his first six months, the BBC said.
Some were killed in police operations, others by vigilantes and other deaths were unexplained, the broadcaster said.
Maria told the BBC she tried to unburden her guilt by going to confession but could not tell the priest what she had done and instead just asked for forgiveness.
