At least 2,000 young people will be able to move in to new houses the coming two years, given the program “The First House” projected by the Cabinet.

They will have to take the maximum loans as provided by a bill for that, said Finance Minister Octavian Armaşu.

For example, if a young family wants to buy an apartment of EUR25,000 they will have to return by MDL4,000 monthly in a 25-year contract.

The Government is willing to guarantee half of the amount and to provide a series of procedural privileges.

Octavian Armaşu specify the beneficiaries may opt for dwellings in rural or urban areas, as the largest loan has to be MDL900,000.

The beneficiaries will also have to prove monthly incomes twice exceeding the monthly installments.
