General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of Ministry of Internal Affairs has drawn a few scenarios regarding the blazes from April 20 2018, which burst on Academiei no.1 and Ismail 89/1 streets.

Fire Research Laboratory has investigated both cases. It is believed that the fire from Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology of the Science Academy of Moldova might have been caused either by a short-circuit in the electricity supply network of a mobile operator, or carelessness with open fire.

IGSU employees believe the fire from Lunedor shopping mall, located on Ismail streets, burst due to breaches of the fire safety law, or a short-circuit in the power supply hood.

The final cause of both fires will be included in a report of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, after all circumstances will be established and investigated.
