Those who wish to purchase their own house through the First House project will pay even less.

Starting today, two banks, Victoriabank and Moldindconbank, have decreased their interest rates for the mortgage loan from 9.03% to 8.07%.

The First House Program was launched by the Government. People under 45, officially employed and with no other mortgage loan are eligible to apply.

Applicants must have a salary at least double the interest rate, while the state will guarantee 50% of the loan.

The price of the house must not exceed one million lei, while the down payment is of 10%.
