First House program goes into operation today. People can submit their files with the banks.
Buying a house now means to initially pay 10 percent credit rate, three times lower rate compared to regular mortgage loans.
The first rate might be higher if the buyer allows so.
Mortgage loans are available in three banks: Moldindconbank, Victoriabank and Moldova-Agroindbank.
The First House program was launched at the initiative of Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
Eligible buyers are citizens up to 45 years of age, officially employed who don't own other real estate and no mortgage loans.
For this year, the state budget provides for a credit guarantee fund worth 50 million lei.
