First statements of Prime Ministers at Joint Meeting of Moldova and Romania Governments
At Victoria Palace in Bucharest is held today the Joint Meeting of Republic of Moldova and Romania Government.
At the opening of the event, officials thanked each other for their support. The Prime Minister of Romania pointed out that the projects of Romania and the Republic of Moldova should be put into practice as soon as possible.
"I am especially pleased to host a new joint meeting of the Government of Romania and the Republic of Moldova today in Bucharest.
I want to welcome Prime Minister Pavel Filip, Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Iurie Leanca, to all members of the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
I think this meeting is particularly important, especially since it is held in the centenary, the year in which Romania celebrates 100 years since the Great Union.
For us this very year, we must bear in mind the incurability of the bilateral, economic and trade relations between the two countries. In the course of the discussions, we will tackle concrete points of cooperation, to stimulate cooperation between the two countries, and I hope that at the end of this meeting we will talk about the things we have done, decide and impulse that the projects we have to accelerate and put into practice as soon as possible", said Romania's Prime Minister, Viorica Dancila.
Moldova's Prime Minister congratulated Romania's new governors and wished them success in their new mandate. Pavel Filip also thanked for his support and for the constant support that Romania has given to the Republic of Moldova.
"I am glad to see you here in Bucharest at a new joint meeting of the governments of the Republic of Moldova and Romania.
On this occasion, I would like to congratulate the new colleagues who have come to the Romanian government to be successful in this important mandate. In front of you is the government of Chisinau, after having overrode the central public administration reform.
I have become less, but the government, from my point of view, is as much or maybe more effective than it was.
Our countries have historical relationships. I think it would be little to say that we have good relations or excellent relations, because the relations between the Republic of Moldova and Romania go beyond this axis.
We are in a common linguistic space, in a common cultural space, in a common space of values, which is why the relationship is a special one. Thank you for that opportunity, for the constant help that I felt from Romania", said Premier Pavel Filip.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that Moldovan and Romanian ministers will sign a series of economic and political agreements. These include the document on the elimination of roaming charges between the two countries. This means that Moldovan citizens traveling to Romania will be able to speak on the phone at local rates.
At the same time, the Romanian citizens who will visit the Republic of Moldova will no longer be stressed by the price of telephone conversations.
