Five family doctors have been allowed to open private cabinets and 28 more are waiting for the permission.
Their folders are checked by CNAM. These should contain documents regarding the registration of the individual cabinets, but also the announcement of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
The local authorities offer them spaces and the National Company of Allowances in Medicine budget. Monthly, they will receive between 277 and 479 lei for each patient. In case they will work in villages they will receive 50% more.
The program is implemented within the primary medical reform.
According to the minister, there are 200 localities in Moldova that don't have a family doctor.
