Women in Pelivan commune, Orhei district have received beautiful flowers and enjoyed great concert organized by the local town hall. 

The mayor of Pelivan says they wanted all women to feel more cherished, at least on this day.

"On this occasion, we try to make our women feel good and joyful. There are only few days for them in a year", said the Mayor of Pelivan , Ion Gamart.

"Absolutely I have to come to this event as I know the ladies, women in Pelivan commune are not only beautiful but also smart, intelligent", said president of Orhei, Tudor Golub.

The evening's surprise was the popular Moldovan performer Ionel Istrati.
