Moldovan Parliament's legislatures will start since 1990, independence of Republic Moldova and year of the first democratically elected parliament. 

New numbering system has been established by Constitutional Court and will be applied starting with Parliament's current legislature. 

Thus, Parliament elected on February 24 elections will be 10th legislature. 

The previous numbering since Soviet period, linking with Legislature of Supreme Soviet of MSSR.

Parliament of Republic of Moldova established Parliament Day in May since 2017. 

Law was passed on May 23, 1991 MSSR became Republic of Moldova and Supreme Soviet was renamed Parliament of Republic of Moldova.
