Foreign direct investment on a rise in Moldova

Foreign direct investment (FDI) into Moldova increased 5% year-on-year, reaching $3.66 billion ($3.21 billion euro) in the first three months of 2017, the central bank, BNM, said on Monday.
Revised data from BNM showed that FDI reached $3.49 billion during the January-March period in 2016.
Of the total, equity investment amounted to $2.041 billion and inter-company lending recorded a net value of $937.53 million, the BNM said in a statement.
In 2016, FDI into Moldova increased 3.3%, reaching $3.58 billion.
