The Association of Foreign Investors of Republic of Moldova appreciates the initiative of Justice Ministry to reform the sanctioning system of our country and urges the Government, the Parliament and the President of the country to support the initiative.

A letter in this sense was signed by Robert Koss, the President of the Union, who mentioned the modifications and the completions that will improve the climate for new investments.

This thinks that introducing new penal norms that are less representative according to the economic encroachments and establishing of procedural guarantees against the abuses of the law enforcement agencies and the control organizations will offer more liberty and safety for the foreign investors.

The project was given for examination to the Government, but the proposal was not accepted.

"There are many worries in this sense. I propose not to hurry and to have another discussion about this project of law. I think it is better to take a break for a week, to debate the subject and to see what does the businessmen say according to this subject", said Pavel Filip, the Prime Minister of Moldova.
