Foreign students from Nicoale Testemitanu Medicine University took the Hippocratic oath
The 300 foreign students of Nicoale Testemitanu Medicine University from the Republic of Moldova made a big effort to study abroad and today they took the Hippocratic oath. Their relatives and friends came from all around the world to support them.
According to the university's administration, the majority of the students who graduated are from Israel, Turkey, Finland and the USA. Slava Alexandrov spend his childhood in Israel, but he was born in Moldova. This is why he chose to study here. The young says that even if he had hard times, it was worth it.
"These years passed by very fast. I can even say that a lot of time passed by. I had a lot of beautiful moments here", said Slava Alexandrov.
His parents, girlfriend came from Israel to support him in such an important moment.
"Some hospitals from Israel proposed him to work there. We are proud of him", said Slava's father.
Another student who also comes from Israel says he dreamed to be a doctor since he was a child. He says he will continue to study when he goes back in his country.
"It is very hard at the beginning, but you get used to it. It is good to study in Moldova", said the student.
According to the administration of the institution, the number of the foreign students increased over the last period. Moreover, Mihail Gavriliuc deputy dean hopes that the number will be even higher after the university signed an agreement with an university from California.
"The educational process of our university is appreciated by the international community", said Mihail Gavriliuc deputy dean.
What about the taxes that the students have to pay, these are between 4100 and 4600 Euro. The dentistry students pay 550 Euro additional tax.
