Foreign volunteers to help people with special needs from Moldova
They have learned the language, they loved the Moldovan food and wine, but first of all are involved in dozens of social projects. They are glad when they manage to help, particularly people with special needs. They are the foreign volunteers who give part of their soul here in Moldova, and those who are helped, know to appreciate their effort.
Although she looks much younger, Astrid Multerberger is the same age as some of those who are taken care of by her. Her energy and will power is highlighting her.
Astrid is in Moldova for several months. She does volunteer work at the nursing home in Straseni, and her specialty is kinesio-therapist. People have only words of praise about Astrid:
The American Claybourne is volunteering in Moldova for nearly two years. Clay teaches health education classes to students in Zubresti village, Straseni district.
Clay presented his host, Ms Liuba, who wakes him up every morning and makes food for him.
Ms Liuba did not know any English, but now she can handle it.
Marisha from Philadelphia is involved in volunteer activities for more than a year and a half in the southern part of Moldova, in Cahul.
17 primary school children with special needs are in Cahul. Aided by people and through a grant, Marisha managed to make a playground accessible for children with disabilities.
For her projects, Marisha Marsh was honored with the title of voluntary of the year 2016.
