Former director of lyceum from Telenesti convicted for bad behavior
A former Russian language teacher from Mihalasa gymnasium, Telenesti district and the director of this institution received a fine of 17 thousand lei recently. Also, those two can't be employed in education sphere for five years. The verdict was given by Telenesti Prosecutor's Office that proved those two are guilty.
Between 2014 and 2015, the Russian teacher was hitting and railing the pupils of fifth grade. This way, the teacher was punishing the ones who had bad behavior or didn't prepare their homework. The teacher obliged the pupils to do one thousand abs each.
According to the prosecutors, through this actions, the defendant humiliated students' dignity and provoked them physical and psychical hurt.
The case was revealed after one of the pupils told his parents about what happened. The parents made a request to the Prosecutors' Office and initiated a penal case. After the hearing, the minor said he was not the only one who was railed.
At the prosecutors' request, in 2015, the teacher was suspended, after she left the territory of Republic of Moldova, being announced in general search. In the summer of last year, the woman returned in the country, the prosecutors proved her guilt.
The sentence is entitled to appeal under the law.
