The former headmaster of a driving school from Bălți has been sentenced to 3 years of jail time, with deprivation of job in the education field for 4 years, for power peddling.

National Anticorruption Center has managed to get their hands on a 27.000 lei transaction given to the suspect for committing the crime. The court has also signed a warrant to seize property.

As a result, the attorney managed to prove that during 2016-2017 the accused has been given 27.000 lei in order to influence the decision of the commission, allowing the benefactor an easier pass for the "D" and "E" category driver licence.

During the investigation, the suspect has admitted to his actions. It should also be mentioned that the former headmaster was previously detained for similar actions, but the punishment didn't include deprivation of freedom.
