Foundation accused of philanthropic activities reacts on rise.md investigation: It is only about rivalry
The charity foundation accused of philanthropic activities says that it is the target of opponents' attacks. The representatives of the organization deny all the accusations of the investigation realized by rise.md. The members of the foundation organized a press conference and explained that their responsibility is to collect money for treatments, but the Istanbul hospital that makes all the surgeries assume all the consequences.
"We suspect that it is about competition. We have some opponents, we are not the only charity company from Moldova", said Alexandru Rusnac, founder of Sfantul Gheorghe foundation.
The co-founders recognized that they charge 5% from the collected money, but those are transferred for banking services.
"We don't take this percent. We have six message pay systems, bank transfer, credit pal and those percentages are different", said Alexandru Rusnac.
Svetlana Sainsus, the co-founder of the organization declared that after this case they will give up on the philanthropy and will denounce those who denigrate her. She admitted that the parents are unsatisfied, but those belong to the category of people who wanted to benefit from the illness of their ill children.
"We had a grave case with the girl who received a leg trauma. The parents refused the treatment and said they will chose another hospital, maybe a free one", said Svetlana Sainsus.
At the conference there were present some parents of the children who benefited of help. Among them there is Vasile Gongear. His son has cancer and he received a treatment at a private hospital from Istanbul.
"They are responsible of us. I can't do anything all by myself. The girls who work there have a very low salary. All who have work there are like a family", said Vasile Goncear.
The representatives of the foundation declared that all the 141 cases from the web page won't be stopped.
Today, Segiu Sibut, the democratic deputy declared he transmitted the case to the Prosecutor's Office to investigate it.
