Four dead Moldovans after plane crash in Côte d'Ivoire were brought home
The four Moldovan's citizens that passed away after the plane crash in Côte d'Ivoire were brought home.
The caskets arrived last evening at Chisinau International Airport by plane.
The four pilots left behind mourning families and children.
"It was an usual day, we were taking a walk when a call came in from our relatives. They told us that the plane a friend of our was on has crashed. He was a kind man, always smiling."
"It is a tragedy for all of us, but mostly for the families. The Ministry will take care of all necessary preparations, to assist."
The other two pilots from Moldova that managed to survive the crash will soon return home.
They are currently hospitalized in France, luckily, doctors claim that their lives are not in danger. Four experts from Moldova will be sent next week to Côte d'Ivoire to investigate the site.
"Along the documents they need to do, the men also have to receive vaccines. The procedure takes on average around 10 days. After that they will be ready to leave" deputy chief of Consular Affairs, Sergiu Odainic said.
The plane with 10 people on board, including 6 citizens of Moldova, crashed on October 14, 500 meters from the runway of the Côte d'Ivoire airport. The cargo aircraft was rented by French Armed Forces.
