French family opened business in Horodiste village, Rezina district. They make French cheese of Moldovan milk
A French cook opened a business in Horodiste village, Rezina district.
"The milk in Moldova is very good. We have three types of milk: sheep, goat and cow milk. It is of a very good quality. Thus, we are making cheese", said Thierry Ernst, businessman.
Ernst family live in Moldova for more than 10 years. Thierry and Tatiana sold the restaurant that they had in Lyon and came in Moldova. The entrepreneur makes five types of French cheese.
"It is interesting how they are doing it. I also had goats, but I wasn't making cheese", said Dina Cret, resident of Horodiste village.
The entrepreneurs are not only concentrated on business, but also on helping the people from the village.
"My horse and cow died. Mrs. Tatiana will buy me a cow, so I will be able to feed my three children", said Maia Malic, resident of Horodiste village.
Ernst family develop the village. They repair an old building. Here they want to build a summer camp for poor children.
"We want to buy fruits from the foreign villages, to make more jobs for the people from here", said Tatiana Pagu, entrepreneur.
The cheese can't be found on the shelves of the stores. The entrepreneurs order it on social media and receive it during a week.
500 grams of cheese cost 160 lei, while 800 grams of cheese with pepper and nuts costs 250 lei.
