Fugitive Victor Topa is involved in tax evasion schemes
The fugitive Victor Topa, which is behind “Dignity and Truth” Platform, is involved in tax evasion schemes, and the luxurious mansion, which he owns in Spain, was bought with money of an offshore company, which founder is his wife, Ana. This results from the documents owned by today.md, which previously published a detailed investigation on resort house from Palma de Mallorca, where the DA leader, Andrei Nastase, and other politicians usually spend their vacation.
Today.md writes that the mansion from Santa Ponca is owned by the Cypriot offshore company Fronetex Limited, which owner and director is Ana Topa, the defendant’s wife. The investigation also shows that the millions of euro, from which the mansion was bought, were transferred through other companies owned by Victor Topa to Fronetex Limited. And this mansion is often used by the godson of Topa, the DA Party leader, Andrei Nastase.
According to revelations done by journalists, Topa fugitives met many politicians from Moldova and planned the platform’s protests on the territory of this mansion. In the same mansion, the former prime minister Vlad Filat coordinated the rifling of Banca de Economii.
The authors of investigation also write that Topa family did not pass the mansion under their name, in order to avoid paying taxes from undeclared money. Victor Topa, together with his criminal business partner, Viorel, have prejudiced Moldova with millions of euro, through schemes in which were included companies from aviation and financial-banking fields, through raider attacks and blackmail.
