Tudor Ulianovschi, the Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs paid a visit to the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs from Berlin, where he met Michael Roth.

The main topics discussed there was the internal politics of Moldova, the Transnistrean conflict. The Gernman minister appreciated the relationship with Moldova.

The political situation of Moldova has many topics to worry about:"First of all, the thing that the Capital mayor elections was not declared valid is a huge problem. The citizen's choice should  be accepted and respected", said Michael Roth, State Minister.

He highlighted that Germany is waiting for the parliamentary elections from the beginning of 2019 to be free and correct.

Michael Roth also requested the Moldovan Government to take in serious the fight against corruption and the state of law.

The both politicians discussed about the transnistrean conflict. Michael Roth appreciated the last progresses within the 5+2 format negotiations.
