Germany offers two million Euro for the development of infrastructure projects in 18 districts

The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany will allocate two million euros to develop infrastructure and energy efficiency projects in 18 localities in the Republic of Moldova (12 rural localities and 6 urban localities) located largely in the center of the country.
Selected cities will receive non-refundable assistance up to 150,000 euros, and villages - up to 75,000 euros, under the Social Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency Grants program 2018, sends IPN.
According to a press release of Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) in Chisinau, the typology of winning projects is diverse, ranging from repair projects for kindergartens and sports schools, resting areas to pavement pavements and installation of street lighting systems.
According to Maria Flachsbarth, state parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, even if Moldova faces major challenges and there are villages where people have no access to drinking water and modern infrastructure and there are people who see little perspectives here, there are also many people who are concerned about the solution of existing problems.
"I would like to assure you that the ministry I represent, as well as Germany, will stand by you and we will support you", said Maria Flachsbarth during a working visit to Moldova between August 2 and 3.
In the framework of the Social and Energetic Efficiency Project, a total of 210 community development projects were carried out in localities with a population of up to 20 thousand inhabitants in 20 districts in the south and north of the Republic of Moldova, with a total of 9 , 65 million.
The program was launched in 2003 by the Federal Government of Germany, managed by the German Development Bank, KFW and the Social Investment Fund of Moldova.
