Good example for next generation. Multiple streets from Recea village, Râșcani district named in the honor of some citizens
The most notorious residents of Recea village, Râșcani district will always be remembered by the people from their village.
Some streets are named with their name in order to honor their memory. It is the initiative of the local administration that was sustained by the regional administration.
So, on the frontages of some houses plates with the names of three remarkable personalities appeared. Recea’s citizens say they are proud of the people from their village who are a good example for the future generation.
One of the streets has the name of the ex-director of the local kindergarten, Galina Grama. During the 30 years when she was the director of this institution she raised hundreds of children. Her daughter tells that her mother was orphan, she had a lot of difficulties to confront and she dedicated her entire life to the children of the village.
“I have never been so happy. Now I am very proud. She was the person who put the base of kindergartens in her native village. My mother was an activist, she loved her hometown”, Ludmila Bolboceanu, a resident of Recea, mentioned.
Her disciples admire the initiative:
“I remember very well how we run to meet her. She was very kind and intelligent”.
Following the decision of a local, special commission a street has the name of the school’s ex-director Efim Ciuru, who had this post for more than 20 years. Another one, has the name of Galina Serjantu, a professor who dedicated 35 years to this noble profession.
Locals also suggested to name more streets in honor of people who contributed to the well-being of their village. Valeriu Ghelan, the mayor of Recea, stated.
The 250 plates with the new names of the street, have cost the administration 27 thousand lei. The village has more than 50 streets and around three thousand five hundred people.
