Good news for Christians. Road that leads to Chistoleni monastery to be repaired
The road that leads to Chistoleni monastery from Sadaclia village, Basarabeasca district started to be repaired. The local authorities promise that it will be easier to walk to the church. In order to evolve the repair works, the National Fund for Regional Development allocated over six million lei.
The Christians say that they walk six kilometers to arrive to the monastery.
"Sometimes I was walking all this way long. During the winter it is very hard, or when it rains. Now we will have a good road", said Filaret archiepiscop of Chistoleni monastery.
The residents of the village say that they can't go to the monastery because of the damaged road.
"It is very hard to get there. -Now you will walk all this way long? -Sure."
"We only come here on holidays."
The repair works will take approximately a half of a year.
"We are all waiting for this road. The residents of the village and the neighboring villages can't wait for it to be inaugurated. The access to the monastery is closed when it rains. Now, even the tourists will have access", said Vasile Baciu, the mayor of Sadaclia village, Basarabeasca district.
Dumitru Diacov also attended the event. The Candidate on No.40 constituency says that it is very important for the road to be repaired.
"The City Hall and the Christians who go to this monastery have always been trying to find a way to repair this road. It is very important to repair it", mentioned Dumitru Diacov.
Chistoleni Monastery was built in 1932. It is one of the oldest churches from the south of the country.
