After more than 35 years, maternity in Anenii Noi was repaired. To change things for the better, it took a million and a half million lei and 45 days.

Renovation has brought not only pleasant looks, but also better conditions, such as separate bathrooms for each salon. 

Ludmila Afoni is among the first mothers to be born in the rebuilt maternity. 

"I'm pleased, the conditions are good, that is, something else has been done, as before something good was done. We have hot water, cold water, all the conditions".

At the inauguration of the section there were also 20 future mothers. Women say they are now sure they will have their children in decent conditions and will not have to go to Chisinau. 

"I like it, I'm proud to do something really did not expect. I was really thinking of going to Chisinau, but after the visit we have today".

"I've already visited the whole room and the conditions are very good, I have no words and furniture, cabinets, hot water, showers, all that is needed to give birth safely".

"There was no hot water, I see shower booths, then it was upstairs. The conditions really changed a lot".

The director of the institution hopes that the renovated maternity hospital will motivate young families in Anenii Noi district to bring more children to the world. 

"We believe that the three quarters that remain, the number of births will increase substantially", said Nicolae Usatii, director of Anenii Noi District Hospital. 

According to the rayon president, the department will also go through other changes.

"Now, with the support of Vaslui County, we have already approved a project of one hundred thousand euros, we will repair the maternity section, the wing where children are born, now we have isolated it until the admissions section, said Sergei Rapcea, president of Anenii Noi district. 

The event was also attended by the deputy elected on the constituency of Anenii Noi, Alexandru Jizdan. 

"It was human and logical for mothers to have these conditions, and the first appearance of the children to be in European conditions. The maternity was in a deplorable condition, I would say", said deputy Alexandru Jizdan.

Last year, 320 children were born in Anenii Noi District Hospital.
