The problems regarding feeding pupils and children in schools and kindergartens were established today within a session at the Government. Among the most important problems of the system there are: the bad quality of the food, the lack of an efficient way to buy the products, encroaching the sanitation rules while cleaning or preparing the dishes and also the financial norms in the education institutions.

To solve this problem, starting September the meal price of a children for a day will increase by 2 lei. The state budget allocated 51 million lei in this sense.

Also, to exceed the system deficiencies, there was elaborated an instruction regarding to organization of the children's feeding. The document is a guide of an efficient feeding of the children.

The implementation of the new rules will contribute to a better organization of the children's food and will provide the transparency and the rightness of this process. The instruction should be approved within the Government's session.

Daily, over 305 thousand children and pupils are fed within the educational institutions. Yearly, one billion lei is allocated in this sense.
