Good news! War veterans will receive higher allowances starting next year
The war veterans could receive a higher monthly allowance. The declaration was made by Pavel Filip, within a quorum that took place in Straseni. The prime minister says that they will find money to implement this project.
"We will find the financial support for these allowances. Now, this is worth 100 lei, which is too small", said Pavel Filip.
Alexandru Jizdan, the Minister of Internal Affairs says that the authorities should verify the number of veterans, as some of them use fake legitimization
"First of all, we should verify the number of Transnistrean war veterans. After that, the Government will pay the allowances", said Alexandru Jizdan.
Within the quorum, over 20 veterans of Nistru war received "Gold Eagle" award from the Minister of Internal Affairs. Grigore Spinu is one of them. The man celebrated his 75th anniversary a couple of years ago.
"As for me, it was a hard period. I participated at the Transnistrean war and then, I took part of the brigade. My children weren't seeing me at all. Thank for your attention", said Grigore Spinu, veteran of Nistru war.
Gheorghe Ticu has also been awarded. The man remembers she left to the war in 1992, on his birthday.
"They told us they are taking us to a journey and then, we found out we should defend the integrity of the country", said Gheorghe Ticu, veteran.
Now, in Moldova there are 27 thousand veterans.
