Good roads for Moldova: Road that leads to monastery was renovated at Sireti
Tourists will be able to reach a European road to the monastery in the village of Sireti, Straseni district. The access to the "tourist village" was rehabilitated within the governmental program "Good Roads".
"On the occasion of the road I think there will be more and more clear that the road is welcome. When the rain was very ugly," said Archimandrite Porfirie, the Ancestor of the Holy Synod.
The inauguration of the artery was attended by Prime Minister Pavel Filip. The official stressed the importance of this program.
"He represents the local roads. Always less attention was attracted to the local roads, it was the maintenance of the national roads, the regional roads, but in fact for man it is the local road", said Prime-Minister Pavel Filip.
The inhabitants of the village appreciated the efforts of the authorities, especially since the new infrastructure is unrecognizable.
"It is a pleasure to go to the monastery, I think the neighbors around us are very pleased with the work done. The works are done qualitatively"
"It was mud, it was hard to go and when the children were going to school, but now is better".
The renovated road has a length of almost four hundred meters and even goes to the school in the locality, so the first to step on the new asphalt were the children.
"There was a lot of bumps ahead, where upstairs below, but now they have gravel and then the asphalt is better."
Under the program, 38 local and regional arteries will be rehabilitated this year in Straseni district. 23 of them have already been put into operation.
"If we refer to the financial part, over 32 million lei are allocated from the project" Good roads for Moldova "and more than 10 million lei are allocated from the budget of the rayon council," Straseni district president Mihail Popa said.
The renovation works of the artery cost about 975,000 lei.
