Good Roads for Moldova: Roads from Cimişlia are being repaired
The main street from Batâr and Mihailovca village, Cimişlia district are being repaired. The works are part of Good Roads for Moldova program. In Batâr one km of road is being coated in asphalt, as the main institutions are located there.
"After multiple public consultations and with councilmen, the Village Hall and locals decided upon a portion of Ion Creangă street, where the medical center and post office is located" Mayor of Batâr village, Anatolie Spânu declared.
The road repair works cost 1.5 million lei. People from the settlements are happy that they will no longer walk through mud.
"We were here when the works begun and the children were curious. Those roads will improve our lives. The Government really is thinking of us."
"Those money offered by the Government are welcomed, the village's main street will be beautiful."
Even drivers are happy that they will not need to repair their cars as often.
"The car needs to be repaired every two days, so we are happy about the new roads."
Villagers from Mihailovca are welcomed the works.
"People and cars pass through here, luckily we will not need to support puddles and mud for much longer."
"This is an advantage for our village, for the village hall, for the villagers, because this road leads to the gymnasium and kindergarten that was recently renovated."
"We are working according to the schedule and have enough materials" Chief Construction Officer Gheorghe Căldare said.
Authorities hope that by summer two portion of the road will be rehabilitated. The Government allocated 3.5 million lei for road repair works.
"From the village's center 700 meters toward Selemet, the road is tied to the highway. Roads were not rehabilitated in a long time" Mayor of Mihailovca village, Iurie Moraru mentioned.
Within the program launched by Government, a total of 1 200 km of roads will be repaired. The total investments reach over 1.6 billion lei.
