The local authorities and the ministries who take care of educational institutions will prepare these for the 2018-19 studying year. The Government approved the necessary actions to be taken in this sense: providing a material and teaching base, sanitation conditions, preparing for the cold period of the year and preventing the risk situations.

Also, the document provides the obligatory schooling of all children aged 7-16 years, restructuring the network of educational institutions, inclusion of students with special educational requirements and ensuring the free transportation of children and teachers to educational institutions in rural areas over distances exceeding 2 km.

At the same time, the children up to the fourth grade will be free fed. The children from poor families will also benefit of free food. 

The project of law provides some measures to provide the necessary number of teachers. The educational institutions need 2032 teachers for this year.

The preparation works should be finished by August 24. This year, 9,8 billion lei were allocated by the Government.
