Government approves methodology for calculating fees for right of access to public property
The methodology for calculating the maximum fees for the right of access to public property and shared use of electronic infrastructure has been approved by Ministers' Cabinet.
The document implies facilitating the reuse of infrastructure by network providers of public electronic communications by establishing common principles for calculating tariffs for the services of access to telecommunication facilities and channels.
According to the project, the maximum tariffs for access to electronic communication infrastructure has to be calculated based on the direct costs including capital, incurred in connection with the offering the right to access and the public property value. Meanwhile, the price set can be changed only once a year and will be communicated to National Regulatory Agency in Electronic Communications and Information Technology.
The measure encourages the development of public electronic communications networks at national level, investments in profile infrastructure and ensures fair competition in the market for electronic communications.
Approved methodology ensures the implementation of the law on access to the properties and shared use of infrastructure associated to public electronic communications networks and the National Strategy for Information Society Development Digital Moldova 2020.
