A concept of reforming the national research and innovation system has been discussed at a sitting chaired by Prime Minister Pavel Filip today. 

The draft meant to modify the Science and Research Code was worked out by Moldovan ministries and European experts.

The Government pursues to make this system more efficient, especially in terms of allocating the public money to projects with enhanced impact over the national economy.

Thus, the Education Ministry will draft policies in research, while the Economy Ministry – in the innovation field. A national agency will deal with policies related to science.
