Government says condolences to Viorel Mardare's family
On March 9, 2019, young movie director Viorel Mardare, one of the most promising local filmmakers, who won the 2018 National Prize for original creation in the art of publicity film and promoting the image of the Republic of Moldova, passed away because of a terrible illness.
Viorel Mardare was born on October 7, 1981 in Chisinau. He graduated the faculty of journalism and one of dramatic arts. Since 2000, he has been a young journalist, actively involved in the social sphere, but also as a participant in municipal debate and intellectual gaming clubs. So far, Viorel Mardare remains the holder of most Master degrees in the Moldovan Club of Intellectual Games.
Viorel Mardare remarked as a young filmmaker activating in the teams of Igor Cobileanski and Sergiu Prodan, revealing his tremendous talent to create original social publicity spots and highly appreciated by the public. Even when making commercials for commercial companies, Viorel Mardare managed to inspire humor, civic spirit and patriotism.
His spots, which have prompted people to vote for years, to be better with peers, to love their country and to promote them abroad, have characterized Viorel Mardare, and all were a sincere personal message for a better world.
