The process to organize the children feeding in the education institutions will be improved. Due to the new requirements, the directors of the institution will pay more attention to the quality of the products.

The Instruction sets out the steps and responsibilities of all stakeholders involved in catering in general education institutions at all stages - from bidding for food products or services to receiving finished food from the grocery store and serving children and pupils.

The document provides a series of activities designed to make children and pupils more nutritious, including food planning, preparation and delivery of meals, daily control of the quality of the products delivered and cooked dishes, observing the food portions for each child / pupil. At the same time, according to the established standards, strict adherence to sanitary and hygienic requirements will be ensured.

Starting with September 1, the financial rules for children and pupils in educational institutions will be increased by 2 lei per child per day.

Daily, over 305 thousand children and pupils are fed in the education institutions from the country. The state budget allocated one billion lei for this.
