Government will organize events commemorating victims of the war from Afghanistan

The Cabinet of Ministers approved today the Plan of Work on the Day of Commemorating died people at the Afghan War, marked annually on February 15th. The document contains a series of actions, organized both in Chisinau municipality and in the localities of the country.
In the capital, the ceremony will start with the memory march, flower depositions and a commemorative rally at the Memorial Complex "Holy Memories to country's sons".
At the same time, there will be thematic meetings with the veterans of the war in the country's educational institutions and military units, and the fallen will be commemorated by organizing exhibitions, broadcasting TV and radio thematic shows, and conducting sports competitions. At the same time, some of the streets of the native villages will be renamed, the monuments will be restored and the tombs of the deceased will be restored.
The Action Plan also provides for the provision of annual relief to people with disabilities in the wake of war and the families of the victims, as well as the provision of medical assistance and recovery to veterans of the armed conflict.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of the limited troop of Afghan troops. The Afghanistan War was attended by 12500 Moldovan citizens, 300 of whom lost their lives.
