Graduate doctors will get more money as indemnity to go and work in villages
The so called unique indemnity for beginning doctors and pharmacists going to work in villages will increase twofold. The Parliament has passed a bill providing that the fresh specialists receive MDL45,000, 15,000 than it was.
While the beginning nurses will get an indemnity increased to 36,000 lei.
A first installment will be disbursed after the first month of work. It will be 11,000 lei for doctors and pharmacists and 9,000 lei for medical assistants. The remainder will be disbursed in the next three years of work.
Now, most graduates of the Medical University refuse to go to villages because of small salaries and bad work conditions.
As many as 300 doctors annually graduate from the Medical University, but only 50% of them accept working in rural areas.
