350 professional and amateur athletes from Moldova, Ukraine, Russia or France ran through the vineyards of one of our largest wineries. The grape-flavored race was held for 10 kilometers.
Even though the trail was sometimes difficult, the sight impressed:
"Everything is fine, time is great."
"-Is it a difficult route? -Yes, it's difficult. -Are there many obstacles? -Many waves. -Hills, -Yes, hills."
Finally, the participants were greeted with medals, applause and music. Liviu Croitorul was the first to finish. The athlete traveled the 10 kilometers in 35 minutes.
"I ran with the first five after I decided that I had to work, that last year I was still winning, but I had to beat my record. And I do not know by the miracle I ran 6 minutes faster than the year," said Liviu Croitorul, participant.
At girls, Iulia Tarasova, Ukraine's champion of mountain races, won first place. She came from Odessa and ran the distance in 39 minutes.
"It is very beautiful, you choose, and the surrounding atmosphere loads you with positive energy." "You move and you are happy, I think next year I will come with my family here", said Iulia Tarasova.
Runners say they are awaiting next year's edition:
"Running alive is a pleasant thing, and at the same time I mean to promote the wine culture, the culture of healthy lifestyle."
"I am from Russia, from Rostov-on-Don, and I often attend such competitions, but here I enjoyed a lot."
"The beginning of the race was tedious but fun enough. I like how everything was organized here."
The organizers say they have chosen this route to promote a healthy lifestyle, but also to showcase beautiful places from us.
"We are trying to offer unprecedented experiences and given that wine culture is so developed in us, it would be a shame not to use this," said Tatiana Tutunaru, organizer of the event.
The finalists of the race received gifts of wine, diplomas and trophies. The event is organized for the second consecutive year.
