The doctors become more and more often targeted by aggressive patients or their relatives. The Health Ministry has received hundreds of such complaints lately.

The Ministry has drafted a bill providing for more severe punishments for the ones insulting or aggressing ambulance doctors.

The draft stipulates 12 years of jail for the ones causing body injuries to doctors, and harsher punishments for the ones verbally assaulting the medics: up to 70,000 lei as a fine.
