A Moldovan citizen, instead of completing the registration documents for a caravan, after having lost the original, tried to pass the transport on the basis of a foreign act. The border police officers at the Leuşeni crossing point understood his trick, that's why they detained the trailer, and on the citizen's name was started a research.
On the morning of Sunday, for the formalities required to cross the state border, a minibus with a trailer, on which a caravan, registered in Germany, was transported.
The driver was legitimated as a citizen of the Republic of Moldova and he is 40 years old. During the border control, the person presented several documents of the transport.
As a result of checks in the database, border guards found that another vehicle was registered on the registration number of the caravan.
Subsequently, the driver confirmed that the document did not belong to the caravan present at the crossing point, the original ones had lost them in Germany, from where the vehicle was brought.
Moreover, the man admitted that he had tried his luck, hoping that the Border Police officers would not notice the trickle.
On the contrary, border guards continue their investigations to clarify the case under all legal aspects.
The Moldovan citizen was allowed entry into the country, but without a caravan, which will remain on the territory of the Leuşeni crossing point until a decision will be done in this sense.
