Head of Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office: Ilan Shor remains witness for prosecution in Filat case
Ilan Shor remains the witness for the prosecution in Filat case, and the lawyers of the former prime minister are cheating when they say that the mayor of Orhei refused to make declarations against him.
The declarations are given by the head of Anti-corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Viorel Morari.
When asked by Publika TV, he said that yesterday, 22 October 2016, at the meeting of Appeal Court, at the defense’s request, Shor declined to give additional testimony for the presented evidence, and in the framework of the penal investigation, because they are against his interests.
Morari does not rule out the fact that Orhei mayor avoids to give testimony in the case on his name sent to the court.
The former prime minister Vlad Filat was sentenced to 9 years in jail for passive corruption and traffic of influence.
