Health is a priority for Moldovan authorities. World Health Organization offered Moldova 3,5 million USD

In its report for 2017, the Ministry of Health claims that the growing incidence of non-communicable diseases remains a priority for the current year.
"Non-communicable diseases remain and continue to be the biggest health burden. About 86 percent of deaths are caused by non-communicable diseases", said the Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Svetlana Cebotari.
Another goal is to solve the problem of medical staff lack.
"It is an extremely serious problem. Today we have 32 anesthetists", said the director of the Republican Clinical Hospital "Timofei Mosneaga" ,Anatol Ciubotaru.
At the same time last year successes were recorded in several chapters. Seven emergency medical units were rebuilt and equipped with new ambulances. Another 69 cars about to arrive in the country. Also last year, medicines worth 524 million lei were compensated.
The list was extended by another 11 preparations. Also, several kidney, liver and corneal transplants have been performed. Also in 2017, the number of heart operations has almost doubled.
"Because of the profound understanding of the Moldovan government that has made both Health and Social Protection a priority, supporting many policy development policies in these areas to improve both medical and social infrastructure", said Valentina Buliga, deputy in Parliament.

Last year, 30 legislative acts aiming to develop health were elaborated and approved.
