The authorities recovered 1,6 billion lei of the money stolen from the three banks have been recovered. "I mean, of these money, 18% come from the sale of the assets owned by the property. The rest of the money comes from the proceeds, from the sale of the pledge, from the repayment of credits or from forced receipts", said Sergiu Cioclea, the governor of the NBM.
"7.7 billion is the sum of the damage on the criminal files sent to the court with the identification of the beneficiaries. 1.9 billion is the amount of the damage in the investigated files with the identified beneficiaries and 1.06 billion is the amount of the damage where the final beneficiaries are not yet identified", said Bogdan Zumbreanu, chief of CNA.
The deputies asked the officials if some political parties in the current
have funded their electoral campaign against the stolen money.

Sentences of first instance conviction are Ilan Şor and Chiril Lucinschi.
There are also cases in the court of first instance amounting to 1.38 billion lei targeting the Gacichevici group, and 485 million on behalf of Unibank people.
At the same time, the cases referring to another 1.9 billion lei are at the stage of criminal prosecution and are to be sent to court.
