High quality water for Chirsova village. Over 2 000 residents will benefit of tap water

The residents of Chirsova village, Gagauzia will have drinking tap water, due to a project financed by the European Union. At the inauguration ceremony participated the EU Ambassador to Republic of Moldova and the governor of Gagauzia who checked the quality of the water.
Staring this month, 2 000 residents of the village will have drinking tap water. They don't need to take the water from the wells that are kilometers far away.
"It was very hard for us. We were using only three tones of water per month."
"We are glad we have high quality water."
According to the local administration, the village is provided with high quality water.
"A part of the residents had tap water, by the other half of the village didn't have", said Serghei Sapunji, the mayor of Chisova.
The project is worth two million lei.
"The thing that we managed to develop people live conditions from Chirsova village is amazing. Such projects will continue", said Peter Michalko, the EU Ambassador to Moldova.
A part of the costs were covered by the local authorities.
"Every time, I say that if people are glad about any project that was implemented, then we did a great job", said Irina Vlad, the governor of Gagauzia.
SARD program will also build a sewerage.
"We will start this project in a month. The tap water and sewerage are very important", said Dafina Gherceva, the chief of SARD program.
In Chirsova village, Comrat district live seven thousand people.
