Moldovans receive higher pay. In June this year the average salary was over 5,000 lei. 

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the figure is growing by around 9-per-cent compared to the same period last year.

The highest salaries were recorded in telecommunications, over 10,900 lei, with 14-per-cent more than the same period last year.

Finance, insurance and energy companies employees had an average remuneration of over 9,000 lei. 

In contrast, the smallest gains have been those who organized artistic activities, and farmers. And those who provided accommodation and food services have received over 3,000 lei, 15-per-cent more than last year.

In June, state employees had an average salary of about 4,700 lei, while economic sector employees about 5,000 lei.
